Itinerary

  • Day 1: Bagdogra Airport – Phuentsholing
    Meet and greet upon arrival at NJP Train Station / IXB Airport. Transfer to Phuentsholing, a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. Check into the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
  • Day 2: Phuentsholing – Thimphu
    Complete immigration formalities after breakfast and proceed to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Check in at the hotel and explore the Tashichhoe Dzong from the outside, a fortress of glorious religion. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
  • Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing
    Explore Thimphu after breakfast, visiting the outer view of Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), Hindu Temple, National Memorial Chorten (Monument), and a short hike to Wagdi tse Lhakhanag (40 mins). In the afternoon, visit the Nunnery, BBS Tower, National Library, Centenary Farmer Market, and the Craft Bazar for shopping. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
  • Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha/Wangdue Sightseeing
    After breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue. Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.) for stunning views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. Visit Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress, and take a short hike to the Khamsum yulley Namgyal Chorten (replica of National Memorial Chorten). Explore the Suspension Bridge and enjoy an evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Punakha.
  • Day 5: Punakha - Paro
    Drive to Paro after breakfast, visiting near riverside and Bonday Zangthophelri. On the way, see the Airport View and visit Ta Dzong – National Museum, and Rinpung Dzong (outer view). Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.
  • Day 6: Paro Sightseeing
    After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Chele-La-Pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes. Return to Paro. Evening: Try Bhutanese Traditional Dress and shopping in town. Overnight stay at Paro.
  • Day 7: Paro – Phuentsholing
    After breakfast, check out and transfer to Phuentsholing. Check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
  • Day 8: Phuentsholing - Bagdogra Departure
    Check out after breakfast and transfer to NJP Train Station / IXB Airport. The tour concludes with sweet memories of the trip with Heritage Explorer.

  • Day 1: NJP Train Station / IXB Airport – Jaigaon
    Meet and greet on arrival at NJP Train Station / IXB Airport, then transfer to Jaigaon, a charming town in Jalpaiguri district near the Bhutan border. Jaigaon, also spelled Joygaon, is a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. It serves as the gateway to Bhutan, nestled in the foothills of the friendly neighboring country. Check in at the hotel and unwind. Overnight stay at Jaigaon.
  • Day 2: Jaigaon – Thimphu
    Complete immigration formalities after breakfast and proceed to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. In the evening, catch an outer view of the Tashichho Dzong, also known as the Fortress of the Glorious Religion. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
  • Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing - Paro
    After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour in Thimphu. Visit the iconic Buddha Dordenma Statue, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, and the Motithang Takin Preserve, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Later, proceed to Paro, a stunning valley historically significant as a trade route to Tibet. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at Paro.
  • Day 4: Paro - Tiger’s Nest - Paro
    Explore the famous Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, after breakfast. Perched on a cliffside, this sacred site is a prominent Buddhist pilgrimage destination.   • Day 5: Paro Sightseeing - Jaigaon
    Take an early morning stroll along the banks of the Paro Chu, the lifeline river in Paro. Enjoy the serene beauty and then visit the Airport View Point, offering panoramic views of the lush green Paro Valley. After the visit, proceed back to Jaigaon. Check in at the hotel in the evening.   • Day 6: Jaigaon - Bagdogra/NJP - Departure
    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Bagdogra/NJP for your departure. Drop at the airport/railway station to board your train/flight for your onward journey. The tour concludes, leaving you with sweet memories of the trip with Heritage Explorer.
